The First "Grafton Women's Networking" Event

Thank you to those of you who were able to attend the first Grafton Women's Networking Event at Cirrus' Wine Cellar. What a great group of women!

Here is the link to the article on the event (thanks Jennifer):

What Jane Mitchell (Financial Advisor Rock Star) said about creating multiple sources of income resonated with many of us (from talking to you I know that some are already doing that or seeking to do it). I think we have a unique opportunity to support each other's missions, make some great friends and help the community in some way.
Many of you have asked about the next event. Jane mentioned that there was room (and a kitchen) at 2 South Street. Others suggested getting a chef and giving a cooking lesson of some sort. I also heard that enjoying wine during these events is not a bad thing either. I would love to hear from you about this idea (and others) as well as any contacts you may have to help pull this together. One other thought is to look for an opportunity where we can network together while helping out the community (Food Banks, etc.). And the head of the Downtown Women's Club (networking group out of Worcester) invited us to connect with her group for cocktails sometime this summer. I will get more information and pass it to you.

In the interim, I will use this site to post upcoming events and other networking information. And please add your thoughts & comments!

THANK YOU: Again, many thanks to Wen from Cirrus', Charlie from Romey's (did anyone taste the desserts? they were insanely good), Jane from WB Smith (loved the presentation), Jack and Jennifer from, Don from Grafton News, Koopmans and Gaudette (for electronic signs) and Morgan from Mary Kay (no not Avon!), Frank Zoll, and all of the attendees for being so open. This would not have been a success without all of your participation.

Please forward this link: to anyone who you think might be interested in joining for the next event.

  1. I'd be interested in learning how to become an independent contractor and anything on developing your own home-based business.

Also anything on new cutting edge careers and practice identifying transferable skills from one career to another.

  2. Thanks for the comment. I will see if I can find someone to cover this topic in a future meeting.

  3. I love the idea of the cooking class for fresh ingredients. We belong to the Nourse Farm CSA and am always looking for fresh ideas! I voted yes, but "definitely if there is wine" would work too!
